Nice hotel for a one night stay-over. Short walk to main street. Beds where comfortable. Good value for money. When looking for a good restaurant in the neighborhood go to Trumbull Kitchen, a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. They have outside seating and nice food for good price and a great atmosphere.
Not much, it was a nice stay.
indoor pool, close drive to West Hartford and downtown Hartford
Hotel is delapitated, but we were evacuated due to the hurricane and the price was very fair.
free parking, location close to the highway, good bed, despite the close highway it was not noisy.
no refrigerator, small old tube TV, tiny bath, in-wall AC, poorly painted bathroom. dark room. it is ok for short business trip or one night stay
The restaurant did not have a good selection , the pool area was so cold.
Inexpensive and easy to get to.
A loud party was taking place when we arrived. The people walking around looked sketchy and underdressed. My children thought one woman was a prostitute from her attire and mannerisms. At check-in, we were assigned a room next to a family with several adults and a group of very young children. These children screamed and yelled well past midnight. We finally called the front desk to report this at 11:30 and the staff did nothing. They did not go to the room nor did they call the room (we could hear everything, and would have heard the phone ringing). The noise continued until the children fell asleep at about 1230. The hotel was half empty, why would put us in a room adjoining a crowd? Clearly the other room had way too many people in it who did not know how to behave in a hotel. The parents were actually coaching the children (all under 6) to keep screaming and screeching as a game. Additionally, in the public areas the hotel was not clean. There was debris in the elevators and on the rugs. The room was fine, but very clammy with bedding that did not appear to be suited to a hotel environment. When we checked out, the desk staff did not ask about our stay or apologize for our inconvenience.
The bed was very comfortable and I slept well - after I fell asleep.
There was a private party going on in a room a few doors down from our room, with loud music and I could feel the bass beat. I called down to the front desk to see if we could change rooms. The woman told me that she would send someone up. 45 minutes later, the noise only got louder, we called again. Finally about 1 1/2 hours after I first called, my son went down and got us another room floors above. All was well after that, but I was annoyed that the management did not handle the situation better - until I later the next day when I spoke with a manager and she did offer to give us a discount on the room, which I very much appreciated.
desk staff were genuinely helpful and friendly
noisy neighbors late at night
The elevator on the left is the fastest elevator I've ever experienced in a hotel.
My rate from Booked.net didn't get properly transmitted to the hotel, and I had to take about half an hour to get it set straight, including calling Booked.net and having them call the hotel. Not a huge problem, but kind of a hassle. :)
It was convienent and had free parking
Staff was polite and accomodating.
The other guests were very loud at 3 am but that's not Sheraton's fault
